it will take significant time for companies to estimate potential losses from the Japanese earthquake, and we expect that exposure will vary widely among reinsurers," financial analysts for Keefe, Bruyette Woods Inc. said in a note Wednesday. Larry Greenberg, an analyst with Langen McAlenney in Hartford, said his firm is inclined to believe that ultimate insured losses will be at the high end of AIR's estimates. "We believe that similar to postKatrina, the rating agencies could have a major impact on the marketplace as they reevaluate capital requirements," Greenberg said in his analyst's note Tuesday. MetLife Inc. bought American Life Insurance Company (ALICO) last year from American International Group Inc. The foreign lifeinsurance company relies on customers in Japan for a large part of its revenue, though it's not clear to what degree the disasters will disrupt that business or for how long. The Hartford Financial Services Group doesn't expect to incur claims from the earthquake and tsunami because the company doesn't cover property and casualty in Japan.

In this new environment, ambitious individuals take on outsize roles. Consider Michele Ballarin, a former Republican candidate for Congress and socialite living on a 100acre farm in Virginia horse country who became obsessed with Somalia at the same time that the CIA and JSOC were increasingly focusing on the rise of alShabab, a Somali alQaeda affiliate that had taken control of much of the country. citizens, predominately from the Somali diaspora in Minnesota.

I think folks tryin to feel accepted. It occurs to me that our parents used that onlywhitefolksdothat as a pretty fluid and selective deterrent. I'll have to try it with my kids . People can do whatever they want with thier legs, but that picture is not pretty in the leg department. Just saying. I do not shave because I dont need to, luckily. Im not very hairy and the little hair I do have on my legs is so fine that you cant even see it unless you are really close and if your that close you must be family or my guy. lol But I do have several friends that do and several that do not. Does not matter to me either way what a person wants to do but this is really interesting. I think criticizing someone for having hair on their legs is sad. God placed hair on people's legs. Why is what God did a bad thing putting Nair on your legs is fine (although it can burn and has an awful smell) and shaving and accidentally cutting your legs is fine (hair can clog up drains), but being what God made you is bad? " Why? God is perfect. What God makes is perfect. Don't let society or mainstream media tell you want pretty is.

''You fall in love for inexplicable reasons,'' he says. ''This is completely rational. Nothing makes money like deluxe brands.'' Arnault is betting the chateau on that notion. By taking control in 1988 of Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, he became the world's preeminent purveyor of luxury goods, including Moet Chandon and Dom Perignon Champagnes, Hennessy cognac, Louis Vuitton luggage, Christian Dior and Givenchy clothes and perfumes, and Christian Lacroix fashions. ''This,'' he says triumphantly, ''is one of the world's most beautiful companies.

Reliance mutual fund sells stake to Eton Park Judging from yesterday's trading update, however, there is no silver bullet to take out Rexam's traditional foes: all year, the falling dollar, rising energy costs and increasing commodity prices have been sniping at the company's bottom line. But these pressures, surely, were already built into the share price. The stock had fallen 14 per cent between the start of October and Wednesday's close. Why would it tumble a further 16 per cent yesterday on what looked at first glance like minor adjustments to the outlook? Blame the gloomy mood of the market ready to punish even comparatively small amendments to expectations. Most analysts had already discounted a difficult 2007, but they may not have expected 2008 to open under the shadow of higher freight and raw material costs, however wellhedged. As a company, Rexam continues to pour on capital expenditure 300m ($612m) this year, and the same amount next. As a board, directors showed their confidence yesterday by buying the shares at their knockdown price/earnings ratio of between 11 and 12 times forecast earnings for 2008.

successful and was voted the most popular line in the Advertising Hall of Fame . Coined words, puns, jingles and even madeup words (like Louis Vuitton's "Epileather") are also ways to make a tagline stick. Simply being easy to remember isn't enough. Taglines should also build positive brand perceptions through imparting good feelings. Evocative vocabulary is one powerful way to create meaning. Since slogans are made for shorter running advertising campaigns, it is important that they stay relevant to their target market. Taglines, on the other hand, should not strive to be trendy at the risk of sounding dated after a few years. Since a good tagline stands the test of time, it should work across a variety of mediums, functioning like a thread that unifies the stories together. Consistency is crucial: numerous taglines and continual changes confuse consumers and dilute brand equity. H Block, a leading taxpreparation company, flipped between the slogans "America's tax team," "Just plain smart," and its current "Get it Right" in just a few years. The fragmentation risks leaving consumers unable.

Finally the party was dissolved in 1999. In December 2000 the APPD was reestablished in Munich, but did not participate in the Bundestag election of 2002. A sufficient number of signatures were collected for participation in the European election 2004, however these did not arrive because the German Postal Service declined to forward them to party chairman Christoph Grossmann. In the following year, the APPD took place in the Bundestag election of 2005 with little success. As a result, the party split into two parties in 2006 the APPD and the PogoPartei. Both parties plan to run in the next elections for the Bundestag and European Parliament in 2009. Theory of Pogo Anarchism PogoAnarchismus (Pogoanarchism) is often falsely confused with the standard anarchism, but there are more differences than commonalities. The concept of Balkanisation is introduced to split up the country into different parts: "Asoziale ParasitenZonen" (APZ, asocial parasite zone) for pogoanarchists and other asocials, who prefer not to work and rather drink beer.

Despite this, the low implied growth rate of COH leads to attractive upside potential. EL has been gaining ground in the three regions it operates in: The Americas; Europe, the Middle East Africa; Asia/Pacific. Each of its product categories, skin care, makeup, fragrance, and hair care, has also been growing yearoveryear. However, this trend is increasing at a decreasing rate. In 2011, 2012, and 2013, respectively, the company grew revenues 13%, 10.3%, and 5% (if analyst predictions for EL's fourth quarter are correct). However, EL has been able to increase gross margins from 76.5% in 2010 to 79.5% in 2013. Operating margins have increased from 10.1% to 13.5% in the same period. EL may find it difficult to further attain growth through margin expansion since its gross margins are already so high. By comparison, Christian Dior's operating margin for their perfumes and cosmetics group for 2012 was 14.9%, so there may still be room for EL to increase operating margins. However, EL's slowing growth and already high gross margins may make it difficult to increase profits.

Thank 'ou vedy much the hostess used to say. No, thank YOU for the surprise dish! For this reason, I rarely eat oriental food. One time I got some teriyaki chicken from Pink Pepper and dang if it wasn't the oddest looking chicken meat I ever saw. I couldn't eat it, thinking in my mind that it was cat meat. And ever since then, I just can't enjoy an oriental chicken dish. Just the fact that their home countries find cat meat a delicacy makes me feel kinda sick. So if you've ever lived near one of these restaurants and wind up with a missing kitty. You never know if that's what will be served up on your plate the next day when you go to eat there. YAGH! I say our pets are as smart as the owner. Now, there are some breeds of animals that are very high risk. When I went to get homeowners insurance once they gave me list of breeds of dogs that would deny me homeowners insurance. Huge list also, from pit bulls to our fav little taco bell doggy. LOL. I have known a few good pit bull owners but I have known far more who never should have a pit bull because that dog gives them balls.

Whether you are a neurosurgeon or a painter, art is what you aim for. As I began to brainstorm potential ideas for a midterm project I delved into the type of art that most deeply fascinates me. Human life. I thought to myself what better art form to explore than the most base, natural one? Childbirth became my theme and then, with the theory of a that does something as demonstrated by the breathing lung room, I paired the two to conceptualize a room that would connect people to the art of childbirth. Now this all seemed very good, but why not take it further? Why not connect people to their own little artistic miracle? I involved some theoretical science that would in fact make it possible to show a family how their unborn child experiences the world. The finished product came out great, complete with animations and sound effects, and I really think it incorporates every single week in this class. The aesthetics of the project definitely equal the scientific promise, that for sure. While I was working on the simple animation that would provide a visual example of the room, I taught myself a lot concerning perspective.

I can see that Duke prides itself in a quality garden and I appreciate that. Another big sport in Canada that is still underground is airsoft. Perhaps Duke students would like to take a class in gardening and take time for a stressreducing fun activity like paintball or airsoft to help relieve the boredom. that the Somalis dubbed her Arabic for princess. Soon the Virginia socialite was embroiled in hostage negotiations with Somali pirates who had seized a ship carrying clandestine cargo of Russian tanks worth many millions. And Ballarin was put on the Pentagon payroll to provide intelligence about Somalia many armed groups, although it is unclear from Mazzetti account whether she discovered anything very useful. Duane Clarridge, a CIA legend who had played a starring role during the Irancontra scandal, also seized an opportunity in the new world of governmentsponsored private intelligence collection. In 2009, the 77yearold Clarridge, long retired and dismissive of the CIA as riskaverse, was running his own private spying operation along the AfghanPakistani border. He hatched a plan to dig up evidence that Afghan President Hamid Karzai was a heroin addict, a rumor that was floating around Kabul. Under the scheme, Clarridge would insert an agent into Karzai palace to collect his beard trimmings and then would run drug tests on them.
