Dosz�am jednak do wniosku, �e to na pewno moja wyobra�nia, a tamta dziewczyna by�a zapewne tylko podobna do tej ze snu. Tym bardziej, �e by�am wtedy zm�czona i oszo�omiona wydarzeniami w jaskini. Wesz�am do zat�oczonego sklepu i zakupi�am wszystko co mia�am na li�cie, mrucz�c wci�� pod nosem, t� sam� melodi�. Z �alem opu�ci�am ma�y, ciep�y supermarket, wychodz�c na zamarzni�t� ulic�. Gryz�c zakupionego przed chwil� batonika, st�pa�am leko przed siebie, przygl�daj�c si� ciekawie przechodniom. I nagle... zamar�am. Przed jedn� z witryn sklepowych sta�a ONA! Ta dziewczyna ze snu! Szybko do niej podesz�am i zapyta�am:
- Przepraszam, ale... czy my si� znamy? – wiem, banalne. Ale co mog�am powiedzie�? „Czy to ty mi si� ci�gle �nisz?” Dziewczyna nic jednak nie powiedzia�a, u�miech�a si� i wyci�gn�a r�k� na powitanie, kt�r� u�cisn�am.
Poczu�am dziwny skurcz w �o��dku, serce w gradle oraz bardzo nieprzyjemne zawroty g�owy. Spod moich st�p zacz�� usuwa� si� grunt. Chcia�am krzykn��, wo�a� o pomoc, ale g�os uwi�z� mi w krtani. Nagle upad�am na bardzo tward� gleb�, Po tym jak�e ci�kim upadku, nie mog��m si� podnie��. Czuj�c bol�ce mi�nie i niewygodnie wygi�ty kr�gos�up, le�a�am na brzuchu, z zamkni�tymi oczami, wdychaj�c ci�ko wo� wiosennej trawy. Wiosennej?
Us�ysza�am cichy odg�os st�paj�cych st�p. Czyja� delikatna r�ka obr�ci�a mnie na plecy i pomog�a usi���. Otworzy��m oczy. O�lepi�o mnie ra��ce �wiat�o dzienne, ostro przecinaj�ce moje �renice. Mrugn�am szybko rz�sami, przyzwyczajaj�c si� do tego niezwyk�ego �wiat�a. Spojrza�am na osob� stoj�c� obok. By�a to dziewczyna maj�ca oko�o pi�tnastu lat. Mia�a czarne, kr�cone, d�ugie w�osy i czerwon� sukni�, przeszywan� z�ot� nici�. Dziewczyna ze snu... To w�a�nie ona sta�a ko�o mnie, przygl�daj�c si� ciekawie otoczeniu. Jakby widzia�a je po raz pierwszy... Ale przecie� ona ju� tutaj by�a! W moim �nie... A mo�e to by� TYLKO sen?... Mo�e jej tutaj wcale nie by�o?
M�j wzrok ci�gle przeskakiwa� z dziewczyny na wszystko wok�. Trudno by�oby to opisa�. Teoretycznie by�a to tylko szeroka polana, gdzie ros�y grzyby, bor�wki, �urawiny, drzewa... I wierzba. P�acz�ca wierzba. Jednak by�o w tym co� takiego, co zdawa�o si� dodawa� temu wszystkiemu tajemniczo�ci, mroku i... smutku.
Dziewczyna poda�a mi r�k�, oferuj�� pomoc przy wstawaniu. Spojrza�am na ni� przyja�nie cho� nieufnie jednocze�nie, ale skorzysta�am z wyci�gni�tej d�oni. Nie mog�am si� jednak powstrzyma�, �eby nie zada� od razu tylu pyta� k��bi�cych si� w mojej g�owie:

Posz�am za ni�. Przechodz�c przez „drzwi” poczu�am nieprzyjemny powiew zimna. Znalaz�y�my sie w �rodku. Panowa� tam p�mrok i by�o bardzo duszno. Ca�y czas sz�am za dziewczyn�, st�paj�c w g�r� po wierzbowych, kr�tych schodach. Poza nimi nic wi�cej nie by�o. Tylko pustka...
Dosz�y�my do szczytu schod�w. Znajdowa� si� tam drewniany podest. Na jego �rodku sta�a marmurowa czara, opieraj�ca si� na mniej wi�cej metrowej kolumnie. Dziewczyna podesz�a do niej. Zrobi�am to samo. W czarze znajdowa� si� per�owo-niebieski p�yn wiruj�cy wci�� w prawo lub w lewo. Moja towarzyszka odsun�a mnie od misy i sama zanurzy�a w niej d�o�. Prawdopodobnie nied�ugo umrze, a wtedy b�dzie ju� koniec tak nas, jak i naszej krainy, a Burza Wschodu dopnie swego. Jest jednak osoba, kt�ra mo�e temu wszystkiemu zapobiec. I to ty ni� jeste�.

- Magia nie ma tu nic do rzeczy. To nie o ni� tu chodzi, tylko o ciebie.

Zrobi�o mi si� jej �al. W jej aksamitnym g�osie us�ysza�am cie� smutku, rozpaczy i goryczy, po��czonych w jeden wielki b�l. Powiedzia�am jednak:
- Je�eli nic wi�cej nie mo�esz mi wyt�umaczy�, to nie mam wi�cej pyta�. Ale... musimy tam i��? Nie ma innego wyj�cia?
- Nie ma. Musimy.
- No to chod�my. – Odpowiedzia�am wzdychaj�c. Wysz�y�my z drzewa. Na zewn�trz, zamiast panowa�, jak poprzednio wiosna, panowa�a teraz lodowata zima.
