22. W drodze na po�udnie

Sz�am za Larentith milcz�c. Co zreszt� mia�am powiedzie�? Nie wiedzia�am co o tym wszystkim my�le�. Z jednej strony ba�am si� tego wszystkiego co nast�pi, tego wszystkiego nieznanego. Mia�am ochot� sprzeciwi� si�, ale z jakiego� powodu by�am jakby odr�twia�a. Z drugiej jednak, ciekawa by�am co nast�pi, a jaka� magiczna, nienaturalna si�a, kaza�a mi i�� dalej, nie zwa�aj�c na jakiekolwiek w�tpliwo�ci, wahania lub trudy. Najbardziej jednak trapi�o mnie to, co powiedz� rodzice. Na pewno si� teraz o mnie martwi�, a oko�o 50 auror�w, w tym zapewe wujek Harry, szukaj� mnie po ca�ej Kuli Ziemskiej. A ja nawet nie wiem gdzie jestem!
Po raz setny dzisiejszego dnia, wpad�am po pas w lodowat� zasp� �nie�n�. J�kn�am cicho, a Larentith, tak jak 99 razy wcze�niej, poci�gn�a mnie mocno za r�k�, pomagaj�c mi wydosta� si� z zaspy. Moje niedoschni�te po ostatnim upadku ubranie, by�o jeszcze bardziej mokre. Przez niepohamowany nat�ok dziwnych my�li i w og�le przez to wszystko, chcia�o mi si� krzycze� i wo�a� o pomoc. Zbli�a�a si� sz�sta po po�udniu. Larentith, gestem nakaza�a spoczynek. Roz�o�y�y�my dwa koce pod jakim� bezlistnym drzewem, a Czarnow�osa zr�cznie rozpali�a ognisko. Nawet nie zauwa�y�am czy u�ywa�a czar�w. Rozejrza�am si� po okolicy. Zatrzyma�y�my si� przy jakim� za�nie�onym teraz stoku. Sta�y tu bardzo blisko siebie dwa go�e drzewa, w zasadzie po��czone od kt�rego� momentu w jedno i to przy nim w�a�nie rozbi�y�my nasz ob�z. Niedaleko wida� by�o nieko�cz�ce si� pasmo g�r, cz�ciowo pokrytych �niegiem. Nigdzie nie by�o ani jednego centymetra kwadratowego zieleni. Je�eli gdzie� w oddali pojawia�y si� jakie� drzewa, to przewa�nie by�y bezlistne, go�e i smutne.
Spojrza�am na bezchmurne, ale jak�e zimne niebo. Nad g�rami kr��y� jaki� ptak. S�dz�c po wielko�ci i kolorze, by� to zapewnie sok�. Ale nie jestem pewna, nie do ko�ca znam si� na tym.
Nagle otworzy�am szeroko usta ze zdumienia, zdziwienia i zachwytu. Zachodz�ce w tej chwili s�o�ce, kry�o si� cudownie za ogromnymi g�rami. Rzuca�o przy tym tak pi�kne barwy, �e nie mog�am od nich oderwa� wzroku. Za�nie�one g�ry sk�pane by�y w r�u, ciemnej ��ci oraz czerwieni. Wygl�da�o to troch� tak, jakby te „kolosy” p�on�y w igraj�cym, nieznanym ogniu... Wtem, wszystko usta�o. Zrobi�o si� ciemno jak w nocy (pardon, w�a�nie nasta�a noc), a jedynym �r�d�em �wiat�a by�o �redniej wielko�ci ognisko.
Poczu�am g�o�ne burczenie w brzuchu. Z przera�eniem pomy�la�am, �e nie mamy nic do jedzenia. Zrezygnowana, wr�cz pora�ona t� my�l�, usiad�am na kocu trz�s�c si� z zimna i zapyta�am Larentith:

Dziewczyna u�miechn�a si� do mnie pogodnie, podesz�a bli�ej do drzewa, zapuka�a w nie trzy razy, w�o�y�a obie r�ce do powsta�ej w nim przed chwil� dziupli, i ju� po chwili siedzia�a przy mnie z jakim� tobo�kiem w r�ce. Spojrza�am na Larentith z zak�opotaniem, lecz ona nic sobie z tego nie robi�a tylko wyci�gn�a dwa no�e z paska, przywi�zanego do jej sukni (tak na marginesie, to dziwn� tutaj maj� mod�). Jeden mi poda�a, a na drugi nabi�a sobie niebieskie kulki i li�cie, i zacz�a piec to nad ogniskiem. Posz�am w jej �lady. Musz� przyzna�, �e pomimo wygl�du, to by�o to ca�kiem smaczne i syc�ce. Chocia� z drugiej strony, smak tego trudno zdefiniowa�. Str�czki te� nie by�y z�e – jedne jad�o si� normalnie, a zdrugich wyci�ga�o si� s�odki mi��sz, kt�ry, jakim� cudem gasi� pragnienie.
U�o�y�am si� do snu, przykrywaj�c po koniuszki w�os�w trzema kocami, a m�wi�c �ci�lej, zawijaj�c si� w nie jak „baleron”.
Obudzi�am si� o �wicie. Larentith w�a�nie gasi�a ognisko. Ku mojemu zdumieniu nie by�o najmniejszego �ladu po �niegu. Wr�cz przeciwnie – s�o�ce grza�o tak mocno, �e my�la�am, �e jest oko�o 45ºC. Drzewo przy kt�rym spa�y�my by�o pi�knie zielone, z mas� li�ci na sobie. �a�owa�am teraz, �e nie mam przy sobie �adnej bluzki z kr�rkim r�kawkiem. Przypomnia�y mi si� s�owa Czarnow�osej: „Codziennie mamy inn� por� roku...” Zaryzykowa�am i zapyta�am:
